The Fanning sisters have finally discovered color, darlings. It’s cause for celebration. But like a teenager enjoying her first 7 & 7 (or whatever it is modern-day teens tend to puke into basement bathrooms on prom night), the girls are going just a little hog-wild or showing a distinct lack of technique.
For instance, a bright, bold pink sounds like a great idea for Miss Dakota, right?
No, really. We’re asking – mainly because we’re having a tough time with this one. There’s a sense of fun here, sure. But it seems to us that if we’re saying “there’s a sense of fun here” and not “this is so fun!” – that kind of says something, no?
Gosh. We’re full of questions. You can see why we’re turning this one over to you. But we’ll do our jobs and offer up some firm opinions to get you started. Those shoes. Dear God, no. We keep trying to find the fun but they look like something you win at a carnival. As for the ensemble, there’s just too much going on with that organza. It can’t bear the weight of all those seams and pleats, making the whole look come off like she just fished it off the floor of her closet. We tend to think she – and most other non-models – would do better wearing one or the other pieces and not trying to make an outfit out of both of them.
That us, anyway. Turns out, we didn’t need your opinion on this one. Never mind, darlings.
Oh, we’re kidding.
Dakota Fanning’s Sheer Country Barbie Look:
IN or OUT?
Hey, you know? Maybe this actually would work if she went the Barbie route. Who’s for white cowboy boots and a big sparkly stetson?
