Mr. and Mrs. Faux-Windsor have been making the rounds this week, injecting a little bit of faux-posh, faux-aristocratic, real Englishness to the proceedings. They’ve also been wearing some fairly chic looks.

Are we wrong to think it’s a little odd how they pose like a real couple? Anyway, these may be our least favorite of their looks this week. We adored what they wore to the Emmys, but we don’t like the fabric of her dress, which looks too upholstery-like, and we don’t think the color story sets her off all that well. He’s just okay. The suit’s a little dull and uncharacteristically boxy on him.

Now that’s quite a bit more like it. He was born to wear a tight plaid suit. We get that they’ve become a little overdone among the red carpet crowd (especially among Brit actors like Redmayne, Gleeson and such), but he really does look fantastic in them.
We love her in a dramatic, whimsical look with some boldness to it. There are details here that bug (like the hair, lip, and sleeves), but it’s fun and high-impact overall. Should’ve worn pumps, though. That bell-like skirt looks odd with sandals.
