If you’re just goofy enough to pay attention to anything we say, then you might remember that we haven’t had much nice to say about the output from the House of Gucci as of late.
But our mouths, they are shut, darlings:
For the moment, anyway.
We know she gets on some people’s nerves, and we’d never claim she’s some sort of world-class fashionista, but when looking at the celebrity pool of potential spokesmodels, she makes a particulary good fit for the brand. They’re putting out really loud and focus-pulling looks and they need a blandly pretty and personality-low kind of gal to just stand in it, looking inscrutable. In that sense, she’s the perfect Gucci muse. You wouldn’t get the same effect with J Law or K Stew, both of whom have so much charisma and personality that they’d wind up getting in public arguments with their ensembles if they were forced to wear Gucci all the time.
Anyway, this is gorgeous, head to toe. The shades are fab, the dress is exciting, and the simple sandals (which we normally whine about) were the way to go. The clutch is a major misstep but all things considered, we can’t get mad at it.
