Darlings, it occurred to us, in the misty haze of early morning, that it would make more sense for us to hold separate Best-Dressed votes for the Emmys this week, rather than shoving them all into our general, end-0f-the-week voting post. Also, it allows us to milk a little bit more out of that #Emmys goodness.
But seriously, a major awards show is next-level red carpetry and it wouldn’t be fair to put these looks besides, say, the premiere of the latest Lego movie. So without further ado, the nominees for best-dressed lady at the 69th Annual Emmy Awards are:
Allison Janney in Tony Ward Couture, Anika Noni Rose in Thai Nguyen Atelier, Chrissy Metz in Lela Rose, Cicely Tyson in B Michael America, Claire Foy in Oscar de la Renta, Elisabeth Moss in Prabal Gurung, Evan Rachel Wood in Moschino, Jane Fonda in Brandon Maxwell, Jessica Biel in Ralph & Russo Couture, Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Carolina Herrera, Julianne Hough in Marchesa, Kiernan Shipka in Miu Miu, Laura Dern in Proenza Schouler, Laverne Cox in Naeem Khan, Lena Waithe in ALBA Legacy, Leslie Jones in Christian Siriano, Mandy Moore in Carolina Herrera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Armani Privé, Michelle Pfeiffer in Oscar de la Renta, Millie Bobby Brown in Calvin Klein Collection, Nicole Kidman in Calvin Klein Collection, Priyanka Chopra in Balmain, Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney, Regina King in Galia Lahav Couture, Sarah Paulson in Carolina Herrera, Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel Couture, Yara Shahidi in Prada, and Zoë Kravitz in Dior.
As always, you can click through on any name to get the big pictures and that precious T Lo commentary that will help you decide if you’re wavering. But make no mistake, dolls, the final call is up to you (based on our curated nominations, of course):
There. That oughta keep you guys busy for a while.
