This looks great on her, but it’s funny how fashion changes your view of things over time. If you’re someone who follows it, that is.
That’s literally the job of the fashion world, after all; to get the consumer to ask “What’s next?” But we’re pretty sure if … let’s say Lea Michele walked out wearing this eight or nine years ago, the “Golden Girls” or “Grandma’s couch” jokes would’ve flown fast and furious. But after years of Dolce & Gabbana, Erdem, Gucci and a ton of other brands pushing these heavy florals, they no longer seem old-fashioned. Of course, this observation comes well into this trend, which is not remotely fresh at this point. In other words, in another five years, this type of floral will look totally out of date again.
But right now? On this gal? It’s still looking pretty fresh to us. We’re not sure about the ruffles and/or peplum, but we love the hoops, the hair. and the tapered pants.
