Marvel’s “The Defenders” Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on August 01, 2017

Okay, various Defenders and Defender-adjacent types. Line up for our loving judgment. It won’t hurt too much – especially since most of y’all stepped it up.

Carrie-Anne Moss

Although this was not, perhaps, the best look to kick things off. It’s heavy, it’s musty (bad Breakfast at Tiffany’s cosplay) and boots look totally wrong with a sleeveless gown. Try again, Trinity.

Charlie Cox

Dull as dishwater from a style perspective but he’s cute, so there’s that.

Deborah Ann Woll in J. Mendel

Pretty, if a bit generic. It might’ve seemed like a bit much for a Marvel Netflix show premiere, but like we said, this cast opted not to phone things in.

Elden Henson and Eka Darville

Well… some of them opted not to phone things in. The shirt situation here is a bit distressing.

Elodie Yung in Christian Dior

It’s fine, but we feel like we’ve seen it a dozen times on Jennifer Lawrence alone.

Finn Jones

Another cute man in a generic suit. And a really, really long tie.

Jessica Henwick in Vionnet

If these were actual product logos that paid for the placement, we think we might’ve wound up respecting it. As it is? Newp.

Mike Colter

Well alright. Thank God one of these guys knows how to pick out and wear a sweet-looking suit.

Simone Missick

Love the shoes and the hair. Maybe that’s all she needed because the dress is kind of generic but she still looks pretty good.
