Is Prada’s Brand of Nerd Chic the Right Look for “Valerian” star Dane DeHaan?

Miss Cara may have wobbled in her style choices this late in the poledance, but Mr. Dane is still low-key werqing it.

We’re starting to think it’s not quite the right look for him. He’s got a pretty distinctive look himself. And while we usually advise people to lean into their physical self when it comes time to make style choices (as in, know who you are, and what you really look like, and make decisions that play into both factors), we’re not sure these hipster suits are really helping him sell himself as an actor, let alone as a blockbuster movie star. He might be a little better off if he went in the opposite direction slightly; go for slightly harder looks with more of a punk vibe. It’s true that a nerdy looking guy is usually the best choice to work Nerd Chic, but we’re thinking he needs a little bit of edge.
