Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Nixon, Kiersey Clemons, Kate Beckinsale and Callum Turner attend “The Only Living Boy in New York” New York Premiere at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Just look at these pretty people:
They all look great together and they all look like they really put the effort in.
Please note that we didn’t say anything about them being chic. We’re just saying. The results varied.
Nothing but respect for the next Governor of New York, but we feel like the shoulder sitch is not allowing her much freedom of movement. It’s a lovely dress otherwise, but that’s pretty distracting. And the shoes are totally wrong for a gown.
There’s a lot of personality and color to this dress, but we think a choice between the neckline and the hemline needed to be made. One of them needed to provide more coverage, if only to even out the proportions a little.
Except for the somewhat disappointingly standard take on suiting, there’s little else to argue with here. They both look great. Impeccably fitted and well groomed, which is all anyone asks of a man in a semi-formal to formal setting.
Jeff Bridges is one of those men who fool other men into thinking “Man, when I get gray hair, I am going to rock the shit out of it!”
This is a typical Beckinsale red carpet jawn. Fancy, formal lingerie. It’s pretty stale.
In other news – and not to toot our own horns or anything – when we featured a couple of on-set posts while this film was shooting, we made note of the costume design and description and predicted two things:
“This appears to be another iteration of that classic never-die American tale: Really Well-Dressed New Yorkers With Money and Extravagant Problems”
“So it’s like a twisted, Millennial version of The Graduate.”
Nailed it! Toot-toot!
