Anna Kendrick at Barnes & Noble, signing her new book “Scrappy Little Nobody,” in NYC.
And by “cazh,” we mean, “ready for bed.”
And thus does the pajama trend die once again.
Don’t take our word on that. We predicted its demise at least twice before this summer. If anything, it appears to be ramping up among the celeb set. Or maybe it’s just going through a late-summer, pre-awards-season micro-trend because all the stylists can’t be bothered right now and all the ladystars are good with anything that might not require shaving, shapewear or a pedicure. Besides, we’ve been pretty supportive of it so far, when it’s done well. This isn’t a disaster, but it’s far from the best iteration of the trend we’ve seen. First, because the pajamas are so literal. There’s nothing about the design to indicate a pajama-like garment. It’s straight-up sleepwear. To make matters worse, an attempt was made to dress up this literal pair of PJs with some more formal, structured – and totally inappropriate – accessories. The shoes and bag are both wrong for the look.
