Mrs. Cathy has been bright and bold on her little working holiday. It’s telling how much she loosens up on the style front when she leaves England. Not that we think England has anything to answer for; just that she never seems to feel completely free to dress how she wants back home and always takes the occasion of a trip to have a little fun.
Granted, we’re not talking about some sort of wild rebellion on her part, but her ensembles on this tour have just a hint of very welcome sass to them.

Perhaps not coincidentally, this sunny little frock coordinates perfectly with any random sunflower someone might hand you AND takes well to an apron. She’s either a very clever duchess or a lucky one.
Bill’s fine. Ever the assistant professor, that one.

Oooh, so close, Mrs. Cathy. It’s a great print and color story for her. The shape works well too. But that hem should either stop at the knee or go to the floor. Also, the sandals should be black. And we don’t think a dress like this calls for a pearl bracelet AT ALL. Sometimes you need to ditch the fusty ol’ family jewels, lady.

Hmm. We’re gonna need a ruling on this one. We tend to think the minimalism of the dress doesn’t work well with the color. The shoes are a personality-free missed opportunity to do something with this look. And for once, we think she should’ve busted out some major jewelry action to dress this up. A brooch or buckle, please. As it is, she’s looking a bit early ’70s flight attendant here.
