The Disney Princesses Team Up at the D23 Expo

Posted on July 17, 2017

Paige O’Hara (Belle/BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), Irene Bedard (POCAHONTAS), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel/TANGLED), Auli’i Cravalho (MOANA), Sarah Silverman (Vanellope von Schweetz/RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET: WRECK-IT RALPH 2), Kristen Bell (Anna/FROZEN), Kelly Macdonald (Merida/BRAVE), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana/THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG), Linda Larkin (Jasmine/ALADDIN), and Jodi Benson (Ariel/THE LITTLE MERMAID) at the D23 EXPO 2017 in Anaheim, California.

Disney is almost scary in its ability to get the entertainment press all hyped up. If you were paying attention to the news coming out over the weekend from this expo, it’s hard to fight the urge to just give in to all that great P.R. work and declare “DISNEY IS GOING TO HAVE THE GREATEST YEAR IN MOVIE HISTORY.”

Spoiler: It’s not, but kudos to their team for working so hard to make it look like they will. And what better way to get everyone all excited about Disney product than by rounding up every living most of the Disney Princess voice actors and putting them on stage together to promote – of all things – Wreck-It Ralph 2, in which the princesses all make an appearance.

Anyway, here are all the Princesses on the red carpet. Since many of them are not normal red-carpet-walkers, we’re not going to subject them to our loving judgment. While we have no doubt that Disney paid to have them all styled, we’d feel a bit odd critiquing some of them. Besides, they all look pretty great. Of the big-name actresses, we’d say Sarah Silverman (to our surprise) has the cutest look and Anika Noni Rose has the most fabulous one.

Anyway, please rise for the Princesses Royal:

Paige O’Hara (Belle)

Irene Bedard (Pocahontas)

Mandy Moore in Carolina Herrera (Rapunzel)

Auli’i Cravalho (Moana)

Sarah Silverman in Ted Baker London (non-Princess Vanellope)

Kristen Bell in Michael Kors Collection (Anna)

Kelly Macdonald (Merida)

Anika Noni Rose in Cinq à Sept (Tiana)

Linda Larkin (Jasmine)

Jodi Benson (Ariel)
