Comic-Con 2017: Entertainment Weekly’s Bash! – Part 2

Posted on July 24, 2017

Darlings, part one of our rundown of the biggest nerd-party of the year can be found here. Now let’s get to judging the back half, shall we?

Angela Sarafyan

Dramatic and chic without being too tryhard. Well done.

Caity Lotz

We’re going to go out on a limb here and suggest that she doesn’t take well to a lot of face paint. We also think she can’t work black all that well and needs rich colors. Also, that dress is ugly.

Candice Patton

There are three buckles too many, but the idea’s fun.

Chadwick Boseman

Love the jacket. Great casual look with some style to it.

Christie Adams

Fabulous. Apparently, this is the time and place to bust out a chic black jumpsuit. Maybe it’s a Catwoman thing.

Cole Sprouse

Great color. He brought his A game, making him one of the best-dressed men of the night.

Dacre Montgomery

Cute, but the shirt is dull, the hair needs a trim, and the whole look would be improved if he didn’t look so miserable. We’re just saying.

Gaten Matarazzo

Graham McTavish

We saw him in a restaurant once and giggled like schoolgirls.

Isaac Hempstead Wright

The pants look like they could use a better fit, but it’s a great look.

Katie Cassidy

Works for us.

Lana Parrilla

Also works for us, although it’s a bit dull.

Mark Gatiss, Matt Lucas, Pearl Mackie, Peter Capaldi, and Michelle Gomez

They look GREAT. Love that they all brought distinct style to the table. Michelle’s romper is fun and Pearl’s getup looks like a chic take on a girl scout’s uniform, but we’re LOVING Peter’s plaid suit and chartreuse shirt.

Natalie Dyer

Girl, that is neither your dress nor your color.

Sarah Ramos

Fun, but are we being silly when we say the sash is a bridge too far here?

Shannon Purser

Barbing it up.

We’re not feeling the shoes, but the rest of it is cute.

Stephen Moyer

Still with the Lady Clairol hair, we see.

Tessa Thompson

Wow. We kinda think she should’ve saved this one for the Thor press tour, but it’s probably a good indication of just how much she’s planning on bringing it. We don’t love it, but it’s definitely high impact.

Willa Holland

Yet another take on the ladysuit, which remains the hottest trend of Comic-Con 2017. This isn’t our favorite, mainly because we’re not feeling the shine or the lack of color, but it’s a pretty chic look overall. Fantastic shoes.
