Why Miss Amy. Look at you, all bright and swingy:
Color us pleasantly surprised.
Although not really. We’ve always said she should keep things simple but try to find ways to inject a little more personality into her promotional style. She’s always been good at the former but not so great at the latter. Her looks and personality don’t really call for fierce high-fashion moments. She’s not Cate Blanchett. She’s not even Nicole Kidman. Her style sweet spot is exactly what you’re seeing here: bright, unfussy pretty with just a bit of sass to it. This look won’t make any year-end Top Ten lists, but it’s probably one of her better semi-cazh red carpet looks.
But she still needs a hair rethink. It seems to us a lot of A-list actresses lock themselves into one hairstyle as a form of branding, but the downside to that is a growing sense of staleness over time. See: Paltrow. See also: Hathaway, who got an Oscar after she changed her image with a pixie cut. We’re just saying, Amy.
