Miss Girl, we’re afraid we cannot:
There aren’t even enough newps in the world to cover how we feel about a ripped, ruffled, asymmetrical denim dress. Especially when it looks like its in the process of mutating. A more conventional take on a denim dress wouldn’t have worked for her most likely (a bit too Britney; a bit too CMAs), but denim is one of those textiles that you can only go so far with if you’re feeling like deconstructing a design. A faded denim party dress, by its nature, is already something of a deconstructed garment. Adding holes and frayed edges takes the deconstruction even further. But when you get to the point where you’re slapping random ruffles on it in weird placements, you need an assistant to come in and call for a break from your design madness.
The head styling is gorgeous (living for the hoop action) and the shoes are fun, but we just cannot with the dress.
