We’re not sure we quite got across why we weren’t loving Karen Gillan’s Miu Miu dress for this festival until we got a load of Miss Freida’s style efforts. If nothing else, she definitely dressed for the venue, which is not something we could say about Miss Karen’s look.
Even better, she managed the perfect casual look and the perfect dressy look for the weekend.
A-freaking-DORABLE. This is pretty much perfect, from the hat to the sandals and everything in between. Just a really cute day look for the islands – any warm weather sitch, we’d say.
Yes, we know the cold shoulder annoys many and we can’t say we’re in love with this element having a ruffle surrounding it, but the rest of the look is so bold and full of personality that we tend not to linger over them.
But we had to get used to her love of ruffles quickly, because she deployed a ton of them in her next look …
And we’re feeling it.
Not totally, however. The way the bodice and skirt meet feels unresolved, plus the way the waist hits her looks a little off. But we definitely don’t mind the ruffled skirt, especially since she went all the way with it and styled herself up like the flamenco dancer it recalls.
Great print, color and style, but it could use a belt, a less utilitarian-looking clutch and some killer earrings to really set everything off.
