The 14th Annual Inspiration Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on June 05, 2017

Say, what are the Inspiration Awards, anyway? Turns out they’re kind of a thing. And since they’re a thing about women inspiring younger women, what better time for two men to inject themselves into the proceedings to judge all their clothing, right?

Fortunately (for us), these ladies did alright.

Garcelle Beauvais in Zara

Love everything but the giant ruffle, which is like a bad movie. It goes on way too long. But the hair looks fab, the color looks great, and the style really suits her. We just wish the pants had either a bit of a taper or a longer hem.

January Jones in Christopher Bu

We don’t think the jacket works all that well with the dress, but we like them both. She looks cute with bangs too. Should’ve gone for a pop-of-color shoe, though.

Lea Michele in Michael Kors Collection

We want to say “Of course,” of course, but despite the eyeroll-inducing qualities of that midriff, the look is surprisingly low-key.

Yara Shahidi in Adeam

LOVE this. It looks like it might be a bit stiff and the shoulder treatment seems particularly unnecessary, but this is a chic take on a look that’s so classic it’s generally considered dull.
