A whole bunch of legendary acting ladies came out to pay tribute to one of their own, and in perfect Diane Keaton manner, they all opted for some slightly quirky and highly suitable looks. It seems everyone agreed that if you’re there to pay tribute to one of the most original style icons of the last 50 years, you better come correct.
A gray gown is a tricky choice for the red carpet; especially if it’s unembellished and plain in design. But we find ourselves loving this for her. It’s dramatic and it works well with her coloring. She just needs a hair rethink, but that’s been true for some time.
Sui generis. Above critique. She has invented her own style and figured out endless variations on it over the years, to her great credit. A true style original.
Still, we would have desperately waved her away from the boots if asked. But the rest of it is perfect Aunt Diane drag.
We’re kind of digging that the women attending got dressed up, but not to a ridiculous extent, which would have seemed odd for a Diane Keaton tribute. This suits her well and looks comfy. The waist detail makes it. Could’ve done with a metallic or sparkly clutch, though.
Oof. We’re afraid not. It’s the only wrong note on this list, we’re afraid. The colors and style of that print don’t suit her at all and the shoes absolutely don’t go with it.
Slightly over-designed, but the colors are stunning on her and the print is dramatic. Could’ve done without the ribbons around her waist.
We would NEVER have thought this brand would be a good fit for her, not would we have predicted a basic Wednesday Addams dress would suit her, but she looks really cute here.
