We are loving this look far more than we expected to, given our propensity for constantly calling out the lack of color on the average red carpet.
And while we still maintain that Miss Scarlett does better in rich colors, we love this look too much to make an issue of it. Love that the stripes are actually embroidered on, although we’re split on whether the dangling threads really work all that well. Even so, the shape and style are abolutely dead-perfect for her, from the accentuated arms and shoulders to the huge belt cinching her waist. It’s an understated sort of boldness, if that makes any sense. And the way it references menswear and bulks up her upper body really suits her.
We’re not feeling the high slit, though. And the shoes feel a bit like an afterthought. But her upper half is killing it.
