Actress Yara Shahidi attends the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation Hosts 22nd Annual “Taste for a Cure” event honoring Yael and Scooter Braun at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
To be honest, we had to tear ourselves from the fabulous head styling in order to even take the rest of it in.
Granted, the rest of it so basic in design that it’s almost generic. That’s not really all that much of a criticism, however. First, she’s at a cancer benefit, not some event where she’s promoting herself or her work. Second, while the dress may be simple, it’s very chic in its simplicity. The color looks amazing on her. We think maybe it could’ve benefited from more statement-making jewelry, but again, she’s not really here to make a statement about herself.
But we kinda feel in love with the look when we saw her break out the “Is anyone else cold in the office today?” cardigan:
That’s actually kind of cute; like something a background secretary would wear on Mad Men. Still not feeling the shoes – which are fairly fab on their own, but kind of an off choice for the dress. But everything above the ankles is really selling itself when it’s all put together – hair, dress, cardi.
Now come up with a shoe rec for this look.
