It’s weird. We’ve been covering the upfronts for years now, but it seems like the poledancing aspect has really ramped up this year. It’s kind of telling, because the world of television programming seems to be floundering at the moment, with a ton of cancellations and a bunch of rebooted or returning series. The PR aspect of it all feels a bit more desperate this year.
But hey, it offers more opportunities to assess the red carpetry of celebrities, so we can’t spend too much time complaining about it, now can we? Onward to bitchiness!

It’s …. okay, we guess. Girlfriend sure does love herself a mini-skirt, but we’re not sure why this one seems to be cupping her right breast. And if you’re gonna wear the tricky-ass skirt (SL calls it a dress, but we refuse to) and the bigass choker, why would you pair them with a Hanes undershirt? Aside from the fact that you’d be swingin’ free if you didn’t, that is?
Sorry, Miss Jennifer, this one’s too tricky for its own good. Adding an undershirt to it didn’t make it better, which is not exactly surprising.

That’s a little better. Again, we find ourselves wishing the hem was just an inch or two lower, but it’s a pretty enough dress and it’s not foisting any sort of weirdness or goofiness on us. Granted, the plunge on the neckline is WAY too wide and the sleeves are kind of mumsy, but it’s got some color, pattern and shape to it, which is more than we can say about a lot of her microscopic dresses. It’s not great, but it’ll do.
We salute her commitment to getting the most out of that pair of shoes, but honey, it looks like you popped a strap there.
