Scarlett Johansson Snagged a Good One at Planned Parenthood’s 100th Anniversary Gala

Posted on May 04, 2017

Miss Scarlett has a dicey red carpet history. And it generally hasn’t gotten better in recent days, which we suppose is to be expected because her personal life wasn’t going in a great direction and her last role was met with a ton of controversy. With that in mind, we ask you: Does it say something that she snagged one of her best red carpet looks in a long time for this particular event?

You be the judge:

We, for our parts, will also be the judge. Here is our judgement: While the black lace tends to be overdone in a few places here, this is one of the better uses of it. Could’ve done without the shoulder ruffles. We also could’ve done without the belt, which just looks off placed over a lace panel. But the color looks fabulous on her and the blocking and pleating make the lace elements feel fresher than black lace has a right to feel.

Hair and makeup look great. Love the earrings, although we’re not sure the style really goes with the dress, which might’ve called for something a little softer. Still, it’s one of her best looks in a while. She’s clearly feeling it.
