The Cast of “Orange is the New Black” Put on Some Mild Cray for the Screening and Panel Discussion

Posted on May 08, 2017

The ladies of Litchfield are coming back for another round, which means we’re all going to get treated to multiple rounds of slightly questionable red carpetry in the weeks to come. Come, let’s gently judge their efforts together, like a family.

Danielle Brooks

Oh, honey. We so want to. And you so want us to. But a metallic skirt AND a mesh top? You’re asking too much of us, dear.

Laverne Cox in Jonathan Simkhai

There is way too much going on with the hem and she’s over-posing, but this isn’t too bad, all things considered.

Samira Wiley

Ever since she left this show as a main cast member – we suppose she’s here because of possible flashbacks this season or something – she’s seemingly discovered a love for, and knack for wearing, cute little girly floral dresses. It’s been her go-to all year. We’re afraid we don’t love the shape of this one, though.

Taryn Manning

We’re always a little freaked out when she’s dressed relatively normal. We keep waiting for her to spring some sort of shocking fashion twist on us. Sure, the skirt’s weird and the top’s goofy, but this is practically boring, coming from her.

Taylor Schilling

What a collection of poor choices this all is.

Uzo Aduba in Diane von Furstenberg

We can’t with that neckline/sleeve situation. We don’t know what it is about symmetry in design lately, but we are not feeling it. If the neckline was balanced, this would be a fabulous dress for her. Here, it’s just a good one.
