Whatever, lady. We are full of “meh.”
We are committed to the idea that you don’t have to dress according to the theme of the Met Gala, but the one person who absolutely should is the person in charge of the whole thing. Granted, we can’t imagine Anna trying to make any Commes des Garcons look work for her, but did she have to choose such a basic gown? It’s glittery and fluffy and sheer – three words we can’t imagine ever using to describe the work of Rei Kawakubo.
It’s fine. It’s pretty even. But it’s deadly-dull for this specific event.
