Dakota Fanning Goes Surprisingly Bold in Proenza Schouler at the Turner Upfronts

Why Miss Dakota. What is with all this bold, bright color we’re seeing all of a sudden? It’s like we don’t know you anymore, dear. Fortunately, we love your dress, so all is well. It’s kinda/sorta cute. The skirt’s trickier than a skirt needs to be, and the weird waist detail – whatever it is – is distracting and unnecessary. Also, this was not a print that begged for a contrasting print. And we can’t say we’re feeling the shoes much either. But it’s nice to see a fanning in a bright pink dress, so we tend to feel kinder toward this look than we probably should.
