Cannes 2017: Elle Fanning is a Daytime Princess in Temperley London at the L’Oréal Beach Event

Because sometimes, a princess has to put her princess gown away and get out there to hawk lipstick. We will not rag on a hardworking gal earning a buck. Get out there and grab it while you can, we say. Especially if you can manage to

a. Score a lifetime supply of makeup, and

b. Look really cute for the paps while you do it.

We can’t speak to the former, but she definitely nailed the latter:

How CUTE is that dress? It continues the princess fantasy she’s so good at promulgating, except in the form of a sweet little day dress. It’s too twee for most, but it’s exactly the level of it that works best for her. The only sour point is the footwear choice. Red sandals are a no-brainer, we suppose, but the bows were a bridge too far. Something simpler, perhaps.
