These shots have been sitting in our queue for a couple of days. Not because we dislike these gals or even dislike what they’re wearing, but because once we found out what this film was about, we were kind of revolted. Even if they all had the very best of intentions, turning gender reassignment into a form of revenge porn is, at the very least, unbelievably tone-deaf at a time when the transgender community is fighting so hard for equality and recognition.
Anyway, now that we’ve gone all serious and soap-boxy, let’s turn to the trivial: what they’re wearing.
Miss Sigourney, we love you, but you may only wear one flared item at a time. Since the jacket makes the look, you’ve gotta ditch the pants for some straight-legs.
Is that a braided leather belt? Because no.
Feels a little more winter than spring – even if it is baring some skin. We’re not really feeling that top at all, but we’d sure like it a lot more without the sheer panels. But even then, it’s only an okay look for a red carpet, even if it is a fairly casual one. It just doesn’t photograph well or do anything to really set off her looks. It just kinda … sits there. Also, a little lip color wouldn’t have been remiss here, missy.
There. You’ve both been assessed. Now go out there and apologize for making an offensively dumb movie.
