Pop Style Opinionfest: Queens, Lady Cops & Bad Girls

First, we go off on the girls of RuPaul’s Drag Race and their fairly lackadaiscal turn as the Kardashian-Jenner clan this week, with accompanying visual aids below. Suffice it to say, we were happy to see the Pit Crew again, but we’re growing increasingly disappointed with this batch of queens. If they can’t make a Kardashian musical fun and funny, what good are they as drag queens? A question for the ages.

Then, we’re back in the snowy world of Fargo, as the third season kicked off last week and we’ve got lots of things to say about what worked and what didn’t in the first episode.

And finally, as promised last week, we went and caught the first five episodes of Netflix’s Girlboss:


And even though there are arguments out there as to why we shouldn’t watch it or enjoy it, which we address in the review, we found it pretty fun and entertaining overall. This leads into a discussion of whether or not you should support projects that pay tribute if not money to less-than-likable people, which is a question we bat around a bit but ultimately come to a fairly definitive conclusion for ourselves. Your mileage may vary, of course.
