Okay, we really tried to come up with a more nuanced take than our initial reaction to this ensemble, but after burning up quite a few mental calories on the matter, we realized our initial take was both accurate and succinct.

First off, it’s mid-April and you’re sporting black velvet? We suppose you could argue there’s little chance of her overheating since it’s the skimpiest use of black velvet we can remember seeing outside of a fetish wear catalogue.
What? You get on all kinds of weird mailing lists when the words “gay” and “fashion” are on your blogger profile.
Anyway, our point is, skimpy black velvet isn’t really a springtime look that works for us. Add a couple inches to the hem and we could see this as a winter look, but it just feels kind of weirdly off-balance to us.
Hair and face look amazing, though. We’ll give her that.
