Oh, honey. We are fully supportive of any young woman who wants to fly her body positivity flag. We know you’re kind of all about that and we think that’s great. But you can show off how proud you are of what you’ve got AND wear something that isn’t horrifyingly tacky. It can be done. We can teach you. First lesson: Never even consider anything that combines sheers, tweed, and cutouts in the same garment. This is just awful. And while we firmly believe these three things don’t need to be coordinated, we’re puzzled by the black shoes, blue nails and pink lips. Nevermind coordinating with each other; none of them help that hideous dress at all.
This is pretty and we have no crits or recs. We’re not fans of car wash skirts and we’re tired of sheers, but this doesn’t bother us. It’s easy and colorful and photographs well. It’s not trying too hard. It flatters and suits her. She’s not particularly styled up or done up, but considering the event – and the daylight – it makes sense to lay off the jewelry or fussy hair. She looks good. She tends to favor more body con stuff, but it’s a nice change of pace to see her in something flowy and romantic.
Sweetie, why are you dressed like an American Girl® Doll?
