Okay, just so you’re all caught up here: Miss Annie has announced a commitment to only wearing vintage pieces during the poledance for her Colossal movie. We, if anyone cares to know, applaud this idea and think it’s a great way to shake up the conformist movie poledance style. We also think Miss Annie is particularly well suited for vintage wear. Unfortunately, we haven’t much liked the choices being made by her and her stylist. So much so, that we launched off of them to do a whole feature in our latest podcast about how to shop for vintage style and how to wear them.
So, having said all that …
It is, perhaps, not a surprise that we’re not a hundred percent on this look.
Love the blouse. As for the skirt, it is not enough for us to say that it’s not to our taste. It’s not enough to say that we dislike it, or that we don’t think it suits her, or that it doesn’t quite go with the top. It’s not even enough for us to say we hate it. This skirt? Needs to be drowned in the ocean. Hand it over, Anne. We’ll take care of it. We’ll be happy to.
Every other part of this look is cute or passably cute. But all we can see is that dumbass skirt. She got Stella’d. Worse, she got vintage Stella’d, which is like, something you have to really work at.
