Yesterday, we noted how difficult it is sometimes to assess the KCAs red carpet, simply because no one seems to have an understanding as to what the dress code is. Some show up in gowns fit for a major awards show; some show up in jeans; some show up in the showiest, silliest, most attention-seeking red carpet cosplay you can find.
But this year, only Miss Gwen nailed it, in our opinion:
It’s bold and graphic. It’s got an un-self-conscious sense of glamour to it. It’s not taking anything about this situation too serious, and it’s not overly sexy in a vaguely uncomfortable way. It’s not try-hard or “I’m a cool mom” or any of the other mistakes celebrities make at this particular event. It suits her and she looks comfortable. Most important of all, it’s fun.
That all looks like “nailing it” to us.
