Ewan McGregor Barely Bothered at the “Beauty and the Beast” NY Screening

To be perfectly fair, before we get to all the screaming, crying and recriminations, there was a time when this:

…would’ve caused our tiny, cold hearts to go pitter-pat.

Truly.

And to be perfectly honest, before we get to all the aforementioned types of meltdowns, we’re not suggesting he’s aged out of it or that anything he’s wearing is problematic on its own (except for the hat, of course, which should be burned).

But damn, mister. Hasn’t this look hit its expiration date yet? We’re all for finding a style and sticking with it, but we’re also all for making sure that style evolves slightly over time. It’s not terrible and he’s nowhere near Depping it, but it sure is stale.

Maybe it’s because he doesn’t age like a normal human, but these shots could’ve been taken at any time over the past 15 years, based on the outfit alone. Technically, he can pull all of this off as well as he ever could. We just wish he’d do something a little unexpected every now and then.

And also burn that hat.
