Miss Zoe, it pains us to say this, because we’ve been big supporters up till now, but it may be time for a style rethink.
Because we’re pretty sure we’ve seen you in this kind of look, with minimal variations, at least a dozen times before.
Granted, it’s a look – white, slinky, gauzey, and a little weird – that really suits you. In fact, it’s a look that suits very few people, which is why we loved it the first half dozen times you pulled it off.
(And to be fair, she did wear something completely outside this style just yesterday.)
It’s piossible we wouldn’t have been nearly as bored by this look if the dress didn’t have so many issues. The sheer bust is fine, but the neckline is absolutely hideous to our eyes. And it’s kind of hard to unsee the noose once you see it, making for a distinctly discomfiting red carpet experience. Although to be fair, that may have been some sort of attempt to make a point on her part. Even so, it’s an unattractive feature for a gown.
And we think taking the rope motif into the footwear choice was just awkward. Maybe it’s time to move away from this look, Miss Zoe. It feels a bit played out for you.
