Is it us or has Miss Katy kinda losing the plot lately on her style choices? It feels like she’s just sort of casting about, trying to find a look to latch onto. Let’s move in close so we can judge really hard.
Recording Artist Katy Perry attends the BRIT Awards 2017 and the Universal Music Party held at The O2 Arena in London, England.
That dress is weird and it makes her midsection look … spongey. She honestly would’ve looked a lot better if she ditched the dress and wore the jacket as one. The jacket is arguably the more interesting, more style-able piece and wearing it open over the dress just makes it look heavy and unnecessary. Get rid of the dress and let the legs and head styling (which we kinda love, by the way) do the work here. The two pieces are fighting for dominance and clearly (to us), the weirder one should go.
And speaking of weird…
Newp. Cheap-ass-looking pajamas that probably have a “Dulce + Banana” label clumsily sewn inside. Hate the sheer parts, the weird legs, the incredibly tired red-roses-on-black textile, the goofyass way she tied her sandal around the outside of her pants, the hair – just everything. We literally dislike every aspect of this look. How’s that for blunt? Except the makeup, but she almost never gets that part wrong, bless her.
Honey, you need to step back, take a deep breath, and re-assess. You’re heading toward a style cliff.
