We’re sorry for the bluntness and the imagery to come, but this particular do:
Will never NOT look like an axe wound to us.
As we said, we’re very sorry. But sometimes, these things just need to be stated outright, y’know? As for the frock…
It’s sort-of okay for Sienna Miller, given her red carpet history. We have some issues with it, but it’s not a disaster. If anything, it’s a bit dull and plain, which forces the question of whether she’s so wedded to the need to do or wear something goofy, she opted for the axe-wound braids because she was scared the dress was too dull.
But the dullness of the dress is less of an issue as it’s slight unsuitability. It comes off way too casual and summertime to our eyes. There may have been an opportunity to bump this up with good styling (although the showy metallic shoes don’t do much for it), but that hair only enhances the casual, poolside feel.
Also, the stitching at the waist is annoying and unnecessary.
