We found ourselves trying really hard to like this when it first walked the red carpet:
Our initial take was that the skirt was pretty enough but the top is too large and billowy on her. The print was an interesting choice, but the belt is too hard in tone, too incongruous. It actually cheapens the dress a little. Granted, the hairstyle called for a little hardness, but that only indicates that the dress is probably wrong for her.
But these seem like minor complaints now. The truth slowly dawned on us over the course of the night. First, there was a brief flash on the red carpet:
Hunh. Some sort of underskirt or lining. Not great, but at least we can’t see her panties, right?
Just her … boxer shorts? Shapewear? Miss Scarlett, just what the heck is going on under your skirt, dear?
