Meh.
It’s too literal. It’s not just “retro,” it literally looks like it came from Dean Martin’s closet circa 1965 or so. There’s no modernity to the styling, no twist or update. We wouldn’t expect him to replicate the runway look, but the model’s sporting a much fresher take than this. It just comes off stale to us. If you’re gonna be wearing free Ferragamo for awards season, wouldn’t you want something with a little more oomph than this? Or is that just us?
