Much debate was had over these two looks Chez T Lo this morning.
But first …
Someone must have told them both to lighten things up a bit on the RC. It was starting to look like a hostage situation there for a bit. Also, we may just be saying all this to rile up the fangurls because we’re naughty that way.
Anyway, let’s tackle him first. Not that way.
This is the trend in menswear right now: tightly fitted jacket paired with wide-legged, high-hemmed pants. Frankly, we think it’s terrible. And we doubt very much we’ll see it out in the real world to any great extent. If a cut makes some single-digit-bodyfat, 28-inch-waister like this guy look blocky and awkward, there’s no way the average lawyer or financial manager is going to go for it.
We’ll be over here, with most of the rest of mankind, waiting this one out, thank you very much.
As for lady…
Lorenzo went OFF on this dress this morning, but Tom found himself half-heartedly defending it. We’re both in agreement that the applique on the back is a deal-breaker, but we differ over the tiered skirt. Lo hates them, but Tom thinks trimming each tier and ruffle in sequins makes for a bolder and fresher take on it. His argument is that the awful neck flower and back applique should be ditched, leaving a romantically glamorous dress that really suits her. Lo was almost convinced until he noticed the tiered cuffs and then it was all over.
