Several days have passed without us checking in on Emma Stone and that seems wrong somehow, darlings.
Hmm.
We are BIG suckers for a black-and-gold combo. Granted, we tend to respond to it mostly when it’s rendered in a very “Studio 54” kind of way, which is not at all what’s happening here.
The bodice is great. Love the colors, embellishments and shapes.
But we’re only so-so on the skirt. It feels like the waist sits too high. And we suspect it would look better without the fluffy hem. A simple A-line with a standard finished hem might’ve been a better way to end this dress.
Overall, we like it, but don’t love it. The color story is great for her. We’d love to see her in some fabulous, sweeping, sexy black gown with gold accents. She’d slay.
