It’s true. We figured we’d lay it all out for you, openly and honestly, in the post title. As much as we just love to rag on these two sourpusses and their incredibly questionable style choices…
… We got nothing.
They look pretty good here and our complaints are minor.
We still don’t like the wide-legged, high-hemmed, slim-jacketed silhouette he’s sporting, but this is one of the less egregious examples of it. The gray looks good on him and the suit isn’t as sloppy as some of the others he’s worn.
As for her, the hair’s the same problem it ALWAYS is with her (appropriate for housework and errands, but not for red carpets and couture), but the dress is pretty damn fabulous. Even better, it’s something she doesn’t always manage in her style choices: sophisticated. Sure, it’s covered in under-sea creatures, but at least they’re not all rendered cartoon-style, in glittery pastel sequins. Given what the fashion world has been putting out lately, we’d call that a win.
They’ve also managed a convincing “We’re friends!” portrayal now, which means their red carpetry isn’t nearly as entertaining as when she was leaning away from him like he just farted. Oh, well. Congrats on your polish, kids.
