Oh Sienna, COME OFF IT.
You know how we always say good style is that combo of the right garment on the right person in the right venue? Well, we do, even if you don’t know it. Our point is, the combination of Sienna Miller and that dress – in any venue – is only going to result in one thing: annoyance. Hence, our outburst.
We debated whether or not a “correction” toward making it a more conventional white satin gown with black accents would make this work. It would improve it, certainly.
Because that looks like she got attacked, or like she’s doing a striptease on the red carpet, or like she’s drunk. In other words, that dress gives no good impressions at all.
Anyway, if it was made more “conventional,” it would have only been a slight improvement. Plain white satin gowns can be pretty dull, especially when you tack a sad black flower on one.
(Also: Those stilts are downright dangerous. She should get paid for doing her own stunt work.)
The runway look is styled much better, but even if we like it in that instance, that only indicates it’s an FMO – For Models Only – gown. Best to leave it off the RC.
