Oh, Miss Sarah. We want to…
…but we really don’t think we can, dear. You’re fabulous and your win is well-deserved, but we only like about half of this look. At best.
First, she’s shown a facility for wearing sparkly metallics. You’d think this one would be a no-brainer for her. But it turns out, her coloring doesn’t exactly set off a silver-and-gold color scheme. Not while she’s sporting that hair color.
Also: Just what is going on with that hair? Is this for a role? We’ll shut our mouths if it is, but for now we’ll say it’s … not working.
Anyway, back to the dress:
This part’s nice.
In fact, the whole thing might’ve worked for her, sketchy color scheme notwithstanding, except …
That skirt is straight-up horrible.
The fact that it goes sheer just past the crotch is bad enough, but the shape of it feels kind of off. Looking at those shoulders, that neckline, and the general fit of the bodice, we’d think a much sleeker bottom half was called for here, instead of the slight flare of that skirt. It doesn’t make for the best silhouette.
