Sarah Paulson Nuns it Up in Maison Mayle at the AFI Awards

These dresses tend to be picked out well ahead of time, so the fact that she attended the Fisher/Reynolds memorial earlier that day probably had nothing to do with the funereal tone of the dress ( but it does tend to kill any attempts at snarkiness in their tracks). This is her style, after all: darkly dramatic. It suits her, and she comes closer to making it work than any other ladystar we can think of except maybe Tilda or Cate.

Still, it’s a little too “nun’s habit” for our tastes and the shape of it is kind of dowdy. The shoes and the head styling do a lot to give it a little edge.
