Why Miss Octavia. What a pleasant style surprise.

The plain-white-oxford-over-a-full-formal-skirt look is a classic that calls to mind Carolina Herrera or Sharon Stone in her heyday. It’s a great look and you really don’t see enough of it on the red carpet.

Not that every woman has to wear it, but given how often celeb-ladies find it difficult to pull off good red carpetry, we’re surprised more of them don’t turn to this easy classic. All you need is good fit and a really great-looking skirt to make it work.

She’s got most of what she needs. The skirt is fantastic. Unfortunately, it sits slightly too high and the blouse is a bit too tight across the bust.

But we maintain that it’s a really great look for her. Minor alterations could make it perfect. Considering the slump in her red carpet style lately, and her apparent turn away from the kinds of lacy Tadashi Shoji dresses that served her well in the past, this represents a pretty great direction for her to go. More, please.
