As we said in our initial FLOTUS retrospective post, it’ll always be her day dresses and separates that characterize and typify Michelle Obama’s style as First Lady. And of course, she’ll be know for her amazing gowns. But over the years, we found reasons to check in on her outerwear time and again, because this was one FLOTUS who not only knew how to pick a good coat, she knew how to pick dramatic and fashion-forward ones as well. One of the absolute high points of her FLOTUS style was the surprising deployment of that Thom Browne stunner for the second inauguration.
