Opening shot: While this isn’t actually a bad dress, it doesn’t really play to her strengths that much.
We wouldn’t try to suggest that she needs to restrict herself to the Audrey Hepburn homages she pulls off so well. There’s no denying she looks breathtaking in that kind of getup, but it would be boring if she went out dressed in the same style every time.
But we do tend to think when you find a look that works incredibly well for you, you should figure out why, so you can break it down into its components, reassemble it, and reinterpret it in a new way. Which means there are endless routes to branch off and explore, even if your style starting point is Audrey Hepburn.
This is just okay. It’s stiff and the lining (which is a good thing on its own) is a bit too heavy and obvious. It’s not a terrible dress. It’s just not your dress, Lily. It’s Naomie Harris’s dress and you need to set it free so they can find each other.
Also, we’re going to suggest that the makeup’s not working well either and the hair’s kind of a mess, all things considered. The overall impression we get is that she just wasn’t feeling this one.
