Kirsten Dunst attends “The Garden of Kalahari” presentation sponsored by Chopard held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France.
This doesn’t exactly start off well, from where we’re sitting.
It’s a good idea on paper, a back tuxedo blazer over a white lace dress. Sort of a bride AND groom look in one outfit.
But the jacket and dress don’t really seem to marry all that well with each other. A little sleuthing turned up that the dress is vintage and belongs to Miss Kirsten, so we’re thinking the jacket was an attempt to style it up in a semi-fresh way. It’s not a bad idea, but it’s pulling a bit and the dress hem doesn’t lend itself to jacket-wearing.
But we can understand why the decision was made to try something new because …
We don’t know, you guys. It’s really booby. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but booby + white lace just smells like ’80s Madonna. That’s not even the part that bugs, though. Girl wants to showcase those assets, she’s more than got the right to. It’s the skirt that truly bothers us. We disliked the hem before, but now that we can see the whole thing, everything about it looks bad to us, from the shape to the mismatched whites. It looks like she’s wearing a dirty, booby dress.
But hey, maybe we’re seeing this wrong. Let’s hear it, kittens. Does this one have hidden charms we just can’t see? We always want to support a gal who loves good vintage couture. We’re just not sure this is good vintage couture.
