And by that we mean they’re practically doing Janelle and Pharrell cosplay:
That’s called “giving the people what they expect.” It’s fine. We might rail against a guystar showing up in a look like that in most instances, but this is practically a trademark for him and they’re clearly not at some sort of high-fashion event.
Miss Janelle is still working her safety pins, part of a line of notable hair embellishments she’s been sporting throughout this poledance, which apparently (according to her instagram) have some message behind them, although her hair stylist says that she’s sending a message to people to “hold it together,” which is fairly vague as messages go. Then again, hair isn’t always the best medium for these sorts of things. Either way, whatever the point, this series of embellishments is so purely hers among the red carpet set and she’s working it so well that we can’t help but love it, especially in a week in which she spoke so movingly about tolerance and being allies against bigotry.
On a purely style level, the outfit’s okay, but the earrings are TO DIE.
