We certainly don’t mind coats on the red carpet, but the color here isn’t very photogenic and the diaphanous quality of the dress makes it look like she ran out of a burning building in her nightgown.
She looks comfy and pleased. We’ll leave it at that.
Stand back, everyone! He’s about to blow!
First day on the job, circa 1987.
And the sad part is, it’s among her better looks of late.
No, girl. Glad to see you hemmed them, but we shouldn’t be able to see the evidence from ten feet away.
Carrie Underwood in Elisabetta Franchi
Cute. Can’t hate.
A bit too “Lady Bird Johnson” for our tastes.
Constance Zimmer in St. John (Top) and House of London (Skirt)
This is kind of quietly chic, though.
It’s dull, but it’ll do.
Alright, we’re about done with the plain black blouse-and-slacks combo. Also, those shoes are tacky.
Kinda cool, actually.
We could get behind the suit, but the shirt and footwear are afterthoughts.
We like the dress more the longer we look at it. It drapes and hangs beautifully.
Leslie Mann in Elizabeth Kennedy
This is pretty much her schtick. It’s fine. She looks a bit like a Valentine.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves (in Marchesa)
We suppose she felt she had to wear that, given the title of the film, but it strikes us as a bit on the nose. A tux with the shirt undone is just dumb.
Nick Robinson, Colton Haynes and Brenton Thwaites in Louis Vuitton
Colton, we love you, but just exactly what the fuck is that thing you’re wearing? It looks like an unholy hybrid of knitwear and SCUBA gear.
Dull Black Pants are officially a red carpet trend in 2017.
That’s pretty much how you want Usher to look at a Louis Vuitton show, we suppose.
Well at least they’re not dull black pants. In fact, we’re digging this whole look.
