We’ve Got to Call Bryce Dallas Howard’s Dress at the Moët Moment Film Festival As We See It

Posted on January 05, 2017

Bryce Dallas Howard is wearing toilet seat doilies on her shoulders.

Bluntness. We has it.

Sorry, but we didn’t think this one required niceties or foreplay. We had no desire to gently lead you through the good and not-so-good points of this dress.

Because those things …

We want you to know that in our New Year pursuit of Being Better People and Putting Positive Energy Out Into The World, we wrote and rejected no less than six different bitchy descriptions for this picture. Yes, bitchier even than “toilet seat doily.” We’re doing it for the children, darlings.

The point is, those things are hiddy.

And this lady has some tragic-as-hell instincts, we’re sorry to say. This is just one in a long line of semi-tacky, aging looks in her style file.

The shape of the dress is fine. That’s literally the only nice thing we can say. The lace is awful and badly deployed and the color is mumsy and stale. She’s claimed some difficulty in securing decent red carpet fashion, although we’re confused as to why that would be the case. She’s not exactly what people in the fashion world might mistakenly call “difficult to fit.” She’s got a pretty wide array of choices. She’s just not making good ones or she’s not paying the right people to help her make good ones.
